The Warsaw Housing Authority (WHA) was established in 1979 for the purpose of providing housing needs for low income residents of the City of Warsaw (and 5-mile radius of the City's center). While the principal service of WHA is to provide Section 8 Rental Assistance to low income families, we also offer a Family Self-Sufficiency Program.

MISSION:  "To provide quality housing opportunities to improve the lives of the citizens who are in need and to provide safe, decent, affordable housing for eligible residents of the City of Warsaw."

The Warsaw Housing Authority offers the following housing assistance programs:

1. Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program - offers financial assistance for rent and utilities to very low income families.

2. Good Housekeeping Award Program - offers coupon award packets to Section 8 families with good housekeeping skills.

3. General Rehabilitation - offers low interest and deferred payment loans to low income resident homeowners in the City of Warsaw.
